Editing palettes


This section contains information on how to edit palettes you have created.

Deleting palette wells

To delete colors, select them and then press the Backspace key (or Delete key).

Moving palette wells around the Palette window

Click on the palette wells you wish to move, and drag them to their new position.

If you drop palette wells on to existing palette wells containing colors, these palette wells are automatically moved into the original position of the moved palette wells.

Duplicating colors in a palette

To duplicate a palette well, select it, press the Ctrl key down and drag the well to a new position in the palette. The original palette well remains where it is.

Changing the palette layout

To change the number of columns in a palette:

  1. Choose Palettes > Set Palette Columns. The Set Number of Columns dialog box is displayed:
  1. Type in a figure for the number of columns and click OK.
The number of columns in the Palette window will be changed accordingly.

Setting up default palette preferences

You can set the default number of columns for new palettes, using the Preferences window. For more information, refer to Setting the Preferences.
